Some recipes aren't just food they're love made edible. At Shelly's Heart & Soul Food, every plate we serve carries the warmth of a family tradition that started long before the truck ever hit the road.
Founded in 2025 by Rachelle "Shelly" Glascoe, our story begins with a woman who needs no introduction to anyone lucky enough to have sat at her table — the legendary Grandma Clara Glascoe. At 94 years young, Clara's cooking has been the heartbeat of the Glascoe family, turning simple ingredients into unforgettable memories and making everyone who tasted her food feel right at home.
Shelly grew up watching, learning, and falling in love with those same traditions. A Bay Area native with Southern roots in her soul, she took everything Grandma Clara poured into those pots and made it her own, adding her free-spirited California flair to time-honored comfort classics. Think smothered chicken in rich, velvety gravy. Creamy, soul-satisfying mac and cheese. Hearty red beans and rice that wrap around you like a warm hug.
Now, Shelly's Heart & Soul Food has rolled into Austin, TX, and we're just getting started. Whether you're a longtime lover of Southern cooking or discovering it for the first time, we're here to feed your stomach and your spirit.
